Qingtao is a first-year master student in Language Technologies Institute in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. His research interests lie in deep learning, probabilistic graphical models, data mining and information extraction. In particular, he is interested in disentangling and reconstructing phoneme and emotion information in speech using deep learning approaches. Prior to joining Carnegie Mellon, he obtained his B.S. in Computer Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he worked on analyzing how different roles in stack exchanges affect their sizes.
