Chirag Raman is a Senior Research Engineer at the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. His research interests lie at the intersection of human-computer interaction and multimodal machine learning, especially in the modeling and synthesis of human communication dynamics. In particular, he is interested in the application of these techniques in the context of collaborative augmented/virtual environments. He holds a Masters of Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University, and has diverse experience building intelligent interactive systems and designing experiences; in past lives he has worked with the UX teams at Microsoft and DisneyWorld, and the Computer Vision group at Disney Research. Most recently he worked as a lead engineer and UX designer at an upcoming NY startup building a collaborative tool for visualizing scripts for TV, Film, and Theatre.
